Hub Coalition Starke County is a State of Indiana designated "Local Coordinating Council" that addresses substance use disorder, mental health and wellness and unintended consequences. The Hub Coalition utilizes the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) to assess community needs; build capacity for prevention work; select evidence-based programs, practices and policies within the community; evaluate program efforts within a culturally competent framework; and focus continual efforts towards sustainability after the grant cycle. Data collected from focus groups and surveying throughout the county help assess local conditions and determine preventive measures.
